Digital printing is a newer process, also known as DTG or direct to garment printing. Digital printing is where the image or artwork is printed directly onto the garment using a special printer and the computer. Unlike screen printing where you need screens or stencils, this uses the computer image and can be printed without screens or stencils. The digital printer isn’t a heat transfer or appliqué, the ink is applied directly to the shirt, if you think of your home paper printer, a digital printer is the same thing but it will print directly onto a t-shirt or garment.
